You were ahead early.
Before adulthood had a chance to complicate the story, somebody had already decided what your future was supposed to look like.

FILE_03 // FORMER PRODIGY
Player 1 VS: / Chapter three
Potential was never the whole story.
Former Prodigy is the third chapter of the PLAYER 1 VS: universe, built around the years when talent, freedom, friendships, pressure, mistakes, ambition, and uncertainty started colliding at once.
It is for the people who were once called gifted, ahead, creative, athletic, different, or full of promise and later discovered that adulthood does not grade on potential.
Compliments became forecasts.
Being ahead stopped feeling like a description and started feeling like a contract. Potential became something other people expected you to cash in.
Expected trajectory: exceptionalOutcome: not your assignment.
Being gifted became something to prove.
The praise stayed in your head long after the structure disappeared. Keep up. Do more. Do not waste it. That is a lot to carry while you are still becoming a person.
Do not waste itYou are not a performance metric.
The path stopped matching the prediction.
Life stopped grading you. There was no syllabus for money, relationships, identity, mistakes, survival, or figuring out what you actually wanted.
Path taken: unknownGood.
Maybe potential was never a promise.
Maybe it was permission. Permission to change direction, rebuild, get strange, start late, become ordinary at something new, and keep going anyway.
Potential: wastedPotential: yours.
Final assessment: inconclusive.
The record ends here only because the rest has not happened yet. Former is not finished.
Case closedStatus: unfinished.
Final assessment
Inconclusive. Good.
You did not lose your potential. You outgrew somebody else's definition of it. Status: unfinished.
